GIWU Construction and Trading Co. Ltd is pleased to introduce GIWU Prefab Systems Limited, our prefab subsidiary. From today, the container offices, site camps and modular buildings our clients already know us for are delivered under the GIWU Prefab Systems name.
Why a dedicated prefab company
Prefabricated buildings have grown into a steady part of our work. Clients on construction, mining and industrial sites want offices and accommodation that arrive finished and are ready to use within days of delivery. Giving this work its own name makes it easier for those clients to find us, to see what we build and to speak directly to the people who build it.
GIWU Prefab Systems remains part of the GIWU family. It draws on the same fabrication, civil and installation capability as its parent company, so a prefab order can still be combined with foundations, steelwork or a full site build when a project calls for it.
What GIWU Prefab Systems builds
- Site and project offices, as single units or linked complexes
- Workforce accommodation, ablution blocks and canteens for site camps
- Classrooms and community facilities
- Security posts and gatehouse units

Every unit is specified for the Ghanaian climate, with insulation, ventilation, electrical works and interior finishes agreed before fabrication starts.
Work already delivered
The name is new, but the track record is not. Prefab projects completed by the GIWU team include:
- A container site office for Berkon Group at the Golden Tower site
- Two 20ft prefabricated offices for the Kross Project on Gomoa Road
- Four 40ft prefabricated homes and offices for Golden Cement Ghana at Tsopoli
